Position Summary

This program is a 10-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.

The Summer 2024 program will run June 3rd - August 9th, 2024. Virtual onboarding activities will take place May 29th -31st, 2024.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in one of the following office locations based on your preference: New York, NY, Wellesley (Boston), MA, Hartford, CT and Irving, TX. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. No housing or housing stipend will be provided.

What you will do

This position lies within the Analytics Engineering vertical. Analytics Engineering is the engine that powers A&BC through the development of production data and ML pipelines. This position will: • Identify opportunities related to the data science lifecycle and develop solutions • Lead the development of a Python package for data scientists, which will also be open-sourced • Embrace a product and systems mindset when developing solutions at scale • Work cross-functionally with data scientists, data engineers, and leadership

Use data to inform strategic and design decision making in addition to measuring performance and outcomes to demonstrate efficacy

Required Qualifications • Experience programming with Python, SQL, and Git • Experience developing in a cloud environment (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) • Applicable coursework in data structures, statistics/probability theory, or algorithm design

Preferred Qualifications • An understanding of machine learning engineering principles such as distributed/parallel computing paradigms and advanced data structures • An understanding of experiment design, MLOps, and continual learning principles • Familiarity with modern libraries such as Dask, Ray, Arrow, and Rapids • Experience developing Python packages as an open-source developer/contributor • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Education • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and August 2025 • Preferred majors include Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
