Meet The Dexcom Summer Internship Program
Looking to spend your summer working with innovative technology and changing lives for patients with diabetes? Dexcom’s U.S. 10-week internship program provides an experience driven program aimed at developing the next generation of talent. Our hybrid and remote work model ensure that we can invite a diverse and talented intern class from across the country.  Interns will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop their skills all while contributing to key company projects and initiatives. Dexcom interns have earned the nickname of “Game Changers” based on their ability to leave a lasting impact on our organization. Internship Department Details • Department Name: Software Development Engineering • Business Function: Research and Development • Team Highlights: The Software Application Intern will be responsible for developing features on Android/iOS Dexcom or Web Application. Able to design, code and create test plans and unit tests for the features.
Where You Come In • You will develop software of the mobile application features Create technical artifacts (Design documents, test plans, code inspections etc.) • Collaborate with engineers and architects. • Provide presentations of the findings to the broader team.
What Makes You Successful • You have taken 2 programming courses. • Good programming skills in any language (Java, C, C++, Python, R, Swift). • You are motivated, curious to learn new technologies and ready to drive technical work. • Knowledge or experience developing algorithms is a plus. • Knowledge or experience of using ML framework such as Tensorflow or PyTorch is a plus. • Programming exposure in Java or Kotlin, swift, in the context of building a mobile application on Android or iOS is a plus. • Good understanding of how RESTful APIs work is a plus. • Experience writing unit, integration and feature tests is a plus.

Education And Experience • Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience and a High school diploma/certificate or equivalent. • Must be a current bachelor’s degree student graduating December 2024 or after.
Non-Exempt Salary Details
The hourly salary range for this role is $26.00 to $30.00. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
