Job description
THE ROLE:
NextGen America is currently seeking a Data and Analytics Intern to join our remote Spring internship program, with a possibility of extension to our Summer and Fall programs. This internship is not limited to college seniors or recent graduates. We also invite and encourage experienced professionals who may be looking for a career change to apply
This position will be part-time with an expected commitment of 20 hours per week.
HOW YOU WILL BENEFIT • Paid: an intern will be considered an hourly employee with a pay rate of $22/hour • Location: internships are fully remote and can work from anywhere within the United States • Training and Development: Opportunities to learn from and train with senior employees and leaders within a leading electoral organization • Education: Opportunities for hands-on learning and training in an organization with a track record of championing progressive causes and candidates
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE: • Assist with core day-to-day activities of the Data, Research, and Polling team • Help administer VAN for NextGen, the voter contact tool that powers progressive campaigns of all sizes • Contribute to ad-hoc data analysis projects relating to targeting voters • Assist with data training and onboarding of new organizing staff • Perform administrative support and other duties as assigned
ABOUT YOU: • An aptitude for spreadsheets and organizing information in a clear and concise manner • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications • A passion for taking political action through the engaging with young people to stand up for progressive values and causes • A strong desire to obtain new skills and exposure to working in a professional environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Detail-oriented with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines • Creative and flexible • Excellent team player • Experience with VAN or CRMs is preferred, but not required • Experience with SQL is a bonus, but not required
COMPENSATION:
NextGen America Interns are part-time, temporary employees with a set pay rate of $22/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits.
