Job Overview
As an in-house Product Designer/ Illustrator at Toyo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product line. You will be responsible for researching market trends, conceptualizing and sketching new outdoor lighted sculpture designs, and effectively communicating these designs to our Research & Development team abroad. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to transform ideas into captivating visual sculptures will be crucial to our success.
Key Responsibilities • Conceptualize and sketch original, innovative designs for outdoor lighted sculptures that align with market demand. • Create detailed design illustrations and technical drawings that clearly communicate product concept, dimensions, material specifications, and production requirements to the manufacturing team. • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive products in the seasonal decoration industry. • Collaborate closely with the factory team to ensure the accurate translation of designs into physical products, providing guidance and support throughout the production process. • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product development and manufacturing to understand design requirements, material choices, and production capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications (for Intern or Part-Time) • Pursuing a degree in Design, Illustration, Art or a related field. • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs. • Strong sketching and illustration skills to convey design ideas effectively. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines. • Passion for creativity, innovation, and staying up-to-date with industry trends. • Familiarity with SketchUp or other 3D modeling software is a plus.
