About The Program:
The Bulgari Summer Internship Program is a NYC based, 10-week learning experience about the luxury retail industry and the world of fine jewelry, watches, and accessories while working alongside professionals in the industry. It is the responsibility of Bulgari to ensure the internship is beneficial to the student’s learning and growth. The intern must work closely with and under daily guidance and supervision of Bulgari staff. Most interns are based in one department but will have the opportunity to interact with all departments on a regular basis.
Profile: The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in the luxury consumer goods industry with a sense of curiosity and positive attitude. Being creative and innovative and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset is essential to thrive in our environment.
Criteria:
• Currently enrolled at a University/College and must be entering their Junior or Senior year
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must be in the NYC/Metro area for the duration of the internship program
• Some prior internship or work experience
• Passion for Luxury Goods
• Strong communication and eagerness to learn
• Legally authorized to work in the US
• Program will be full time internship from Monday, June 3rd, 2024- Friday, August 9th, 2024
The Finance Intern is an integral member of the accounting team. She/he will be responsible for various special projects and will assist the overall finance department.
This position’s UNIQUE responsibilities will include but are not limited to research of sales data, data entry, reporting and filing. This role will act under the direct supervision of the Senior Accountant and will work collaboratively with all members of the finance team. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in a fast corporate office environment and learn about various aspects of accounting and finance.
Essential duties and requirements: • Analyze aging purchase orders and follow up with purchase order creators. • Analyze data of recurring expenses while creating, implementing, and maintaining the vendor database. • Partner with our Internal Control team to perform compliance work related to vendors and clients. • Perform certain intercompany tasks within Accounts Payable (AP). • Create purchase orders and review internal customers input in our procurement system (Ivalua). • Assist the AP Team with validating and processing invoices from the AP dashboard (SAP). • Reorganize and classify our current leases into a filing system that is easily accessible. • Assist the finance team with various tasks and work on other projects as assigned.
Key Competencies: • Accounting or Finance background or similar field • Junior or higher preferred • Strong communication and analytical skills • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines • Meticulous attention to details while maintaining awareness of the larger scope • Solid computer proficiency, with a focus on excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, macros, etc.) • Willing to contribute beyond the defined role to meet business needs
Compensation: Undergraduate Interns will be compensated at: $18/hr
